The "formation" is Followformation's paid advertising listings service. Up to 10% of all users followed per instance on the Followformation app is a featured formation lister.
Companies and individuals can apply to advertise in any category of their choice. With the release of the Follow by City feature, users wishing to target geographically segmented follow usage can apply to be listed as a featured user in the cities of their choice.
